RENTER GUIDELINES
The Mattapoisett YMCA is a Division of the YMCA Southcoast. The purpose
of this association is the improvement of the spiritual, mental, social
and physical conditions of all persons.
The YMCA strives to accomplish this purpose through the delivery of programs
in the areas of fitness, leadership development, aquatics, camping, childcare,
youth and adult sports, health enhancement and fellowship. YMCA programs
and memberships are available to all persons regardless of race, religion,
color, national origin, sex, age, or abilities.
In recognition of our unique facilities, the YMCA offers the use of this
property on a limited basis when not in use by YMCA program participants.
Rental Party will be responsible for all vendors and guests to adhere
to all policies and procedures set forth by the Mattapoisett YMCA a division
of the YMCA Southcoast.
Caterer Guidelines
It is the responsibility of the Rental Party to ensure that the preferred
Caterer provide to the Mattapoisett YMCA a current Massachusetts Caterers
License and abide by all the standards set forth by the Commonwealth of
MA.
It is the responsibility of the Rental Party to ensure that the Caterer
provide to the Mattapoisett YMCA:
A certificate of Liability Insurance which Includes:
Minimum general liability coverage of $1,000,000.
Liquor liability insurance of $1,000,000.
Automobile liability insurance of $1,000,000.
Excessive/Umbrella liability of $1,000,000.
Proof of Worker's Compensation
Mattapoisett YMCA named as additional insured as indicated on the
form.
Propane stoves or warming ovens may be used on the outdoor facilities
but may not be used inside the main house. Dishwashers may not be used.
The overall supervision of the event is the responsibility of the renter,
however, the Mattapoisett YMCA reserves the right to dismiss participant
if they are a risk to themselves, other participant or the YMCA.
Caterer or vendors must provide detergent, towels, trash bags and trash
barrels, and all other supplies including utensils and cookware, needed
for their duties. The Mattapoisett YMCA supplies may not be used.
At the expense of the Renter, Mattapoisett Police must be provided for
all events serving alcohol.
The serving of alcohol must cease one hour prior to the contracted end
of the event, (not to include additional time contracted for clean-up).
The Mattapoisett YMCA property is to be left in as clean a condition as
it was found. This includes washing the kitchen floor and placing all
trash in dumpster located in the parking Lot.
Renter Guidelines
A trash disposal fee of $300 will be charged each renter. The catering
manager must check with the Event Coordinator upon arrival to and before
leaving the premises.
After the reception, tables and chairs should be stacked and the tent
floor swept. Cook tent area should be free of all trash and cleaned.
Speed Limit
Please follow 5mph speed limit on YMCA property and 20 mph speed limit
on Reservation Road for the safety of our guests, members and neighbors.

Parking
Designated Parking areas are provided and YMCA staff will assist guest
to access the parking areas. Parking is prohibited on the Lawn, along
the beach and in Fire lanes. Handicap parking is available. Please follow
all traffic signs.
Vehicles
Trucks or Vehicles are NEVER allowed on the lawn to transport equipment.
Phones
There are no public phones available on the YMCA property. All phones
are located in offices are restricted for YMCA use only or in the case
of an emergency.
Use of Tobacco
Smoking of all tobacco is not permitted on any part of the Mattapoisett
YMCA property.
Use of facility
Use of Facility is limited to the Front Lawn, Main Pavilion, Bathrooms,
Kitchen, Nurses Office and beach front. All other facilities are off limits
to guests and vendors including but not limited to main building rooms
other than those indicated, pools, ropes course and Skate Park. Boats
and boat docks are off limits to outside groups. Swimming at the beach
front or pools is strictly prohibited.
Appointments
The YMCA provides Child Care and camping programs year round. Due to the
necessary safety and security of our participants all appointments with
renters and preferred vendors must be made in advance and confirmed with
the rental coordinator. Please do not show up on the property unannounced.
All visitors must check in at our main office.
Equipment
Always consult the Mattapoisett YMCA Event Coordinator if anything needs
to be moved to a new location. All Mattapoisett YMCA property must be
returned to their original place once the function is over this includes
picnic tables.Please make sure your staff and guests are aware policy
and procedures listed above.
